The Heartbeat of God: Evangelism and Soul Winning

What is the Heartbeat of God?

The heartbeat of God is soul winning. Nothing brings greater joy to heaven than when a sinner repents and gives their life to Christ. The Bible tells us:

“I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” (Luke 15:7)

Heaven does not rejoice over the best singer, the largest congregation, or even the most miraculous acts. The greatest celebration in heaven happens when a soul is saved! This shows us that evangelism is God’s priority.

Are You Doing the Heartbeat of God?

When was the last time you prayed for the salvation of your friend, your neighbour, or your family member? Are you too busy with your personal schedule to care about the souls around you? Have you opened your mouth to share the gospel with someone in need of salvation?

Jesus commanded us:

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15)

If you obey this command and engage in soul-winning, God will take care of you. Those who prioritize evangelism have divine protection and provision because they are fulfilling the most important mission of God.

God Does Not Forsake Soul Winners

Look at the great men of God—people like Pastor E.A. Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi—why has God preserved them for so long? Because they have dedicated their lives to soul-winning. They have given themselves fully to God’s heartbeat, and in return, God watches over them.

The Bible says:

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33)

If you commit yourself to evangelism, God will not allow you to be wasted. He will protect and sustain you because He values those who bring others into His kingdom.

Every Soul You Win is Recorded in Heaven

Each time you win a soul, heaven takes record. Imagine a heavenly register where your name is written beside the souls you have led to Christ!

If even our church attendance is marked in heaven, how much more evangelism? A sister once shared a revelation—she saw an angel marking names during a midweek service. Those who attended were marked “present”, while those who missed without reason were marked “absent”.

Likewise, when we evangelize, heaven rejoices and records our obedience.

Will God Rejoice Over You?

Every day, you have an opportunity to make heaven rejoice. When you go out and preach today, heaven rejoices. If you bring someone to Christ tomorrow, heaven celebrates again.

“Those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and ever.” (Daniel 12:3)

Stop Living a Selfish Christian Life

Christianity is not only about “God, give me this” or “God, bless me”. It is also about “God, I give You my time and obedience”. Stop living a life focused only on your needs—start doing the heartbeat of God.

If you commit yourself to evangelism, your needs will be met supernaturally. Try it—step out in faith and preach to someone, and see how God will take care of your own concerns.

Take Action Today

  1. Pray for the salvation of those around you.

  2. Look for opportunities to share the gospel.

  3. Follow up with those you have led to Christ.

Evangelism is not an option; it is a divine mandate. Do not delay—start today! Heaven is watching, and God is waiting for you to do His heartbeat.

May God help us all in Jesus’ name. Amen!
